Do you lead a hand-to-mouth existence, or tend to overspend your budget? With so many opportunities for spending cash available out there, it is easy to spend more than your budget would allow you to!
Many people spend their salary’s last penny just before a couple of days before their salary date. And then these same people would complain if there is a minor delay in their salary payment. But remember that living from penny to penny is not a good lifestyle habit! Not only would it make you fall in debt trap, but also cause unnecessary stress!
Wouldn’t it have been nicer if you could save some money at the end of every month! Regardless of how much or how little your salary is, there are many ways you can save money!
1. If you are looking forward to buying new furniture, you can sell the old ones. Remember that just because your furniture is old doesn’t mean that it is out of style; you could always paint and polish it to make it appear new! Also, when buying furniture, it is a good practice to locate good quality, second hand furniture! Remember that just because certain furniture has already been ‘used’ by someone else doesn’t mean it is inferior!
Even if you want to buy brand new furniture. selling your old furniture would defray your expenses in some way!
2. Always try to buy items from those departmental stores which have a long and no-questions asked return policy! This way, if you don’t like a particular item, you can always return it and get a full refund! Note that the refund might be in the form of ‘credits’ or ‘points’, but you could use these credits or points for buying other items from the store!
If you have a hobby which you think could be turned into a part-time income, search for a job to match your hobby! If you are unable to find any job, just put an ad in your local newspaper offering details regarding your hobby, tastes as well as the kind of work you would like to do.
3. If you live in a rented house, try to buy a little home for yourself. Remember that you can use your rent money to pay off the mortgage bit by bit! In the long run, you would realize that you have made a wise decision!
4. Open a savings bank account with your local bank and deposit whatever cash you save each month there! Over time, you will be able to accumulate quite a hefty bank balance. However, you shouldn’t treat your savings like a windfall and spend it on some expensive and superfluous vacation! You should treat it as part of your income and use it to dispose off your loans and credit card bills!
If you follow these tips you would be able to save big money every month!
